The Email group of the hosting panel gives a customer everything for their own mail. This chapter goes through the tools in the order of the page.

Email Accounts

Email → Email Accounts. The table lists Account @ Domain, Restrictions, Storage (space used, allocated and a percentage) and the actions. Press + Create for a new mailbox:

The number of mailboxes is limited by the package (Max Email Accounts). Per row: Manage opens a card with the password, the quota and the Restrictions (suspend login, suspend receiving, suspend sending), and Check Email opens Webmail. The Mail Client Manual Settings card shows the server names for the mailbox:

The user name is the full e-mail address, and the password is the mailbox password.

Forwarders

Email → Forwarders has two cards. Add a New Forwarder sends all mail for one address (Address at a Domain) to a Destination address. Add a New Domain Forwarder sends every address of a domain to the same user at a Destination Domain. The lists below show the type, the destination and a delete button.

Autoresponders

Email → Autoresponders: choose the Email, From name, Subject and Body, the Character Set, an Interval in hours (how often the same sender gets a reply) and optional Start and Stop times for a holiday. Current autoresponders are listed with the same columns.

Default Address, Email Routing, Mailing Lists

• Default Address decides what happens to mail sent to an address that does not exist, per domain: Discard with error to sender (at SMTP time), Forward to email address, Pipe to a Program or Discard. The first is the safe choice.
• Email Routing is the per-domain routing choice. See E-mail in the Host Manager.
• Mailing Lists: List Name, Domain, a Password and Access (public or private). The list shows the members and an action to manage them.

Filters

Email Filters (one mailbox) and Global Email Filters (every address of the account) build rules without code. A rule says when a message part - From, Subject, To, Reply Address, Body, Any Header, Any Recipient, Spam Status, Spam Bar, Spam Score or List ID - contains, matches regex, equals, begins with and so on. Rules can be joined with and or or. The action is Deliver to folder, Redirect to e-mail, Fail with message, Discard message, Pipe to a program or Stop processing rules. Each filter has a test box: paste a message and see which rules match.

Spam Filters, Mail Trap, Encryption

• Spam Filters: Spam Threshold Score, whether to Auto-Delete Spam at a higher Auto-Delete Threshold Score, a Spam Box, a Whitelist (Always Allow) and a Blacklist (Always Block).
• Mail Trap holds mail from unknown senders until they confirm. It has a white, black and ignore list, the number of days to keep held messages and the text of the confirmation.
• Encryption makes, imports and lists GnuPG keys (Name, Email, Comment, Key Size, Expiration, Key Password) with their fingerprints.

Email Deliverability

Email → Email Deliverability lists each domain with DKIM, SPF and DMARC badges. Open a domain: each record shows Valid or the problem, with the text of the record. Repair writes the right records into the domain's zone (the DKIM key is made once and kept). If the domain's DNS is elsewhere, the page tells you to set the records there.

Track Delivery, Address Importer, Disk Usage, Calendars

• Track Delivery lists each message: time, sender, recipient, size, status and a detail line.
• Address Importer takes a CSV file (or pasted text) to create many mailboxes or forwarders, with a Header Row choice, and shows a result per line.
• Email Disk Usage shows each mailbox and folder by size and message count, and Delete Old Messages clears a folder of mail older than a set age.
• Calendars and Contacts shows the CalDAV and CardDAV addresses, user name and password to connect a phone or Thunderbird.
